--- About the Sémon family

I owe a lot to cousin René Sémon for all I have learnt from him about my mother's family, the Treuch and the Tavernier.

Our cousins ~Émile Sémon and ~René Sémon were distants cousins. Still both sides of the family would attempt visiting each other whenever possible, usually on Sundays or on the Toussaint, the day where everybody would set white chrysanthemum (= mums) on the tombs of the departed. Any time was a good time for sharing a good bottle of wine.

I was told of a challenge between Émile et Grand-père Tavernier trying to seduce my ~Grand-mère Treuch as both of them were renting room from her. Émile was close to ninety years old when after a few glasses of wine he admitted his regrets for having lost that one.
