A binder is an XML file which is made up of a collection of text elements called notes. Notes may also contain references to other notes, image files or WEB links. |
Binders are built using a Windows based text editor named CAT. The CAT Editor also incorporates a simple text organizer. This "electronic binder" not only gives instant access to any notes in its contents, it also provides a simple mechanism for grouping them by topics or other criteria thanks to the attributes that can be assigned to each note. |
The CAT Editor is not restricted to the English language. From its US keyboard the user can enter text in a variety of languages and switch effortless between them with a couple of mouseclicks. |
The CAT Editor was at the origin a tool I created for entering text in other languages than English. After adding a few text sorting features this editor became a versatile tool whose capability goes well beyond its original purpose. |
