The Spanish verbs conjugation system is notoriously complex. Still the task of learning it can be simplified by designating some verbs as conjugation model and associating each verb with its reference model. Any verb regular form can be easily derived from the verb model. There are ten conjugation models altogether divided into three groups based on the verb infinitive ending -ar, -er or -ir. |

The verb forms that diverge from their respective conjugation model are called "irregular" forms. They are shown in red with each "irregular" verb description. |
They are various levels of irregularity. Some verbs such as ver have just a few irregular forms. Other verbs such as salir or poner are very irregular. |
